Welcome to Vamoslocal. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Vamoslocal platform, accessible at vamoslocal.com. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Vamoslocal is a marketplace that connects travelers with independent local guides, itinerary creators, and partner businesses. Depending on the product and availability, the platform provides guided bookings, self-guided itinerary access, partner referral links, venue offers and traveler perks, payment processing, and in-app communications.

Other features may include hotel pickup, optional donations, newsletters, travel articles, and tools for guides to suggest catalog stops. The specific features, price, restrictions, and provider for each purchase or offer are shown on the relevant page or before checkout.

2.1. Google OAuth: Vamoslocal uses Google OAuth for authentication. By signing in, you authorize us to access your basic Google profile information (name, email, and profile photo) for account creation and identification purposes.

2.2. Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. Any activity under your Vamoslocal account is your sole responsibility.

2.3. Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile up-to-date. Misrepresentation of identity or credentials may result in account suspension.

3.1. Collection: We collect your Google profile data (name, email, photo), tour preferences, questionnaire responses, booking history, payment transaction records, and messages sent through guide chat.

3.2. Usage: Your data is used to generate personalized itineraries, process bookings and payments, match you with suitable guides, and improve the platform experience.

3.3. Security: We do not sell your personal data. Payment providers process payment details under their own terms. Vamoslocal may retain transaction records and limited payment details needed to operate bookings, refunds, and accounting.

3.4. Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by visiting the Privacy Center section of our Privacy Policy page.

This section applies to tourists booking tours on Vamoslocal.

4.1. Payment Methods: Available payment methods are shown at checkout and may include card, Bitcoin through Lightning, or payment directly to the guide during the tour. Availability depends on the booking and location. Payments may be processed by third-party providers under their terms.

4.2. Pay During Tour: If this option is offered and you select it, you must pay the guide the amount shown in your booking using the payment arrangement stated there. Failure to pay may result in booking cancellation or account restrictions, subject to applicable law.

4.3. Hotel Pickup Service: Tourists may opt for hotel pickup at booking or after booking. Surcharges depend on the assigned guide's configured pricing mode and are shown transparently before checkout.

4.4. Shareable Itineraries: Booked itineraries can be shared via a public link. Shared pages display tour stops only — no personal or payment data is included.

For guided bookings, the applicable cancellation terms and any refund estimate are shown in your booking and when you request cancellation. Refund eligibility may depend on the time remaining before the tour and the policy applicable to that booking. The current Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the process. Mandatory rights under applicable law continue to apply.

Self-guided itineraries provide digital access through the platform; they are not necessarily downloadable files. Refund eligibility is governed by the terms shown for the purchase and applicable law, including any mandatory withdrawal or refund rights.

6.1. Punctuality: You agree to arrive at the designated meeting point on time. Late arrivals may result in a shortened tour with no refund.

6.2. Respectful Behavior: You must treat your guide and fellow tour members with respect. Abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior will result in immediate tour termination and account suspension.

This section applies to guides, itinerary creators, and partners who use the platform in those capacities.

7.1. Fees and commissions: The applicable guide or creator commission and any partner referral commission are disclosed in the relevant agreement, account, or booking information. A referral commission rate is recorded when a referral is attributed; later rate changes apply prospectively. Guides must pay any amount due for bookings paid directly to them as shown in their account.

7.2. Professional standards and partner offers: Guides must provide services professionally and keep their profile accurate. Guides and creators are responsible for having the rights and permissions for their content and for keeping recommendations reasonably accurate. Partners are responsible for the accuracy and fulfillment of their approved offers and perks, including any stated conditions, validity period, and redemption rules. Referral commissions are earned only under the applicable program rules; balances, cashouts, available payout methods, and any restrictions are shown in the partner account. Each provider remains responsible for its own conduct and obligations to travelers.

If a dispute arises, you may contact support through our contact page. We will make reasonable efforts to review the information and respond promptly. Any platform review does not prevent you from exercising rights available under applicable law or contacting a competent consumer or data protection authority.

Live location sharing is entirely opt-in. When enabled, your device transmits coordinates during the active tour window to allow the traveler and guide to find each other. Retained GPS samples are automatically purged within 24 hours.

Guides and partner businesses are independent providers and are not employees of Vamoslocal. Each provider is responsible for its own services, statements, and conduct. Itineraries, routes, opening hours, accessibility details, and other recommendations may change and should be checked before travel. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, consumer protections, or other rights where applicable law does not allow that exclusion or limitation.

By publishing suggestions, feedback, reviews, or comments on Vamoslocal, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute such content in connection with operating the platform.

Subscribing to our newsletter is opt-in and utilizes a double opt-in verification process. You may unsubscribe at any time. Transactional booking messages will always be delivered regardless of newsletter status.

We may update these Terms and will state the effective date of each update. We will give notice of material changes and obtain consent where applicable law requires it. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove rights already accrued or mandatory rights under applicable law.
