The Stoltze Fountain is a decorative fountain in Hühnermarkt, at the heart of Frankfurt's reconstructed Old Town. At the top is a bronze bust of Friedrich Stoltze, one of Frankfurt's best-known poets and satirists. The fountain is adorned with sculptures, reliefs, and bronze pigeons from which water flows into the basins below. It was erected in 1895, four years after Stoltze's death, to honor the popular Frankfurt writer. It originally stood here in Hühnermarkt. When Frankfurt's Old Town was rebuilt after World War II, the fountain was temporarily moved. During the Dom-Römer reconstruction, it was returned to its historic location in Hühnermarkt.
